Daycare Program
Education programs for children under 5 are becoming more widespread in developing countries. We focus on preparing these young students for success before they enter primary school. It also gives parents the opportunity to get full time jobs, knowing that their children are in a safe place during the day.
We opened our first daycare centre for pre pre-k age children living in a slum neighborhood in Mymensingh. This is and will continue to be a an area that we will need financial help with. Starting with something small is the only way to grow it into something big, but the only way to grow is through partnership.
Primary School
In 2020, shortly after the COVID pandemic began, we became the administrators of a primary school in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. We have not been able to open our doors to regular classes due to the world health crisis. We have been employing teachers throughout the quarantines and lock-downs to visit students at home. While this is not ideal, the students and teachers all live in the same community. Unfortunately only 37%* of households in Bangladesh have access to the internet, so education in the poorest areas during the pandemic has been lacking.
